A middle-aged mother decides to follow the old dream she was never really able to give up on of becoming an adventurer now that her child is grown and moved away from home. Having no formal training as a mage, Sabina starts at the lowest adventurer rank relying on the simple folk magic she's used her entire life to advance at her own pace. It is a type of magic that that every mage in every kingdom claims doesn't exist. A magic only praciced in her childhood home on the farthest edges of the known world.

Why won't the mages and the rulers of the varies kingdoms acknowledge folk magic? Probably the same reason they are pretending that the dragons their air force rides into battle aren't getting smaller and less powerful with each successive generation. But Sabina won't make a big ruckus about either of those things no matter how much she wants to. She promised her son - a student at the kingdom's most prestigious magical institue - that she wouldn't draw attention to herself.
